2. Teaching
2.1. Senior lecturer at the Paul Sabatier University (Toulouse)
Since 1996, I have spent 192 hours/year with students (Licences & Masters).
2.2. Other teaching activities
Supervisor for trainees at CESR.
Organization of spectroscopic summer schools at OHP (2004, 2005)
Teacher in CNRS schools (Hendaye 1996, Oleron 2003, La Rochelle 2009).
Teacher in astrophysics courses at the OHP.
Organization of shared studies between professional and amateur of astronomy
(e.g. T80 at OHP)
My PhD (1996) was entitled "Contribution to Astrochemistry of organometallic
molecules in the interstellar and circumstellar media. Theoretical and experimental
approaches". I also worked on these subjects:
The correlation of the interstellar depletion of metals and the bonding
energies betwenn metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
The infuence of the carbon dioxyde - methanol interactions on the
infrared features of interstellar ices.
The interstellar H2 formation from PAHs.
Gaseous water abundances in interstellar clouds observed with Odin.
I currently work on the CASSIS project (Centre d'Analyse Scientifique pour
la Spectroscopie Infrarouge et Submillimétrique). CASSIS will be
a tool to analyze the high resolution spectra that will be provided from
the Hershel space telescope. CASSIS is written in Java langage.
3.2. Gamma-Ray Bursts
I work on the early photometric analysis provided by the TAROT observatories (Télescopes
à Action Rapide pour les Objets Transitoires):
Optical constraints on the hard short burst GRB 030531
The optical rebrightening of GRB 050525a
Optical detections for high z (>3) GRBs (GRB 050505, GRB 050730,
GRB050904)
Continuous optical photometry during the prompt phase of GRB 060111B
The raising of the afterglows of GRB 060904B and GRB 070420.
The time lag of the optical emission of GRB 081126
I currently work on the SVOM-GFT project.
3.3. Brown-dwarfs
I work on the photometric analysis of young star clusters to find yound
brown dwarfs.
Discovery of a young brown dwarf in the Serpens cluster.
A new method to create extinction maps.
3.4. Variable stars
I work on the discovery methods to detect variables:
Discovery of two supernovae.
Follow-up of RR Lyrae maxima with TAROT to detect Blashko effects.
Discovery of 1000 new variable stars in the TAROT images.
Photometric follow up of the nova phase of V1663 Aquilae.
3.5. Minor planets
I work on astrometry and photometry of minor planets:
Discovery of 6 new asteroids in the main belt
Studies of binary asteroids.
3.6. Supernovae
I work on discovery of supernovae:
Automatic searching with an LX200 telescope. Discovery of 5 supernovae 2002dp, 2002gd.
Searching for new supernovae in TAROT images. Discovery of 3 supernovae: 2007cr, 2007cv, 2007ft.
4. Technical researches
4.1. CCD Astronomy
I wrotte a book devoted to the CCD astronomy techniques (ed. 1994). Since
2000, I participate to the development of the AudeLA software.
4.2. Telescope Bernard Lyot at the Pic du Midi observatory
I contributed to enrich the control and acqusition softwares. I worked
also on the MOICAM near infrared camera.
4.3. TAROT observatory
I worked on the softwares of the TAROT
observatory (Télescope à Action Rapide pour les Objets
Transitoires). These softwares are based on the AudeLA software written in C and Tcl
langages.
