PSD stands for the Pulse Shape Discrimination
sub-assembly of the SPI telescope aboard of INTEGRAL. The PSD provides
an onboard classification of events in the energy range 200 keV - 2 MeV.
This classification allows for an effective rejection of background events
that arise from localised beta-decays within the SPI Germanium detectors.
